Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489ZLAHX-A3XK or 489ZLAHXA3XK, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, cutting installation time and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series is rated for 201-300 lb-ft intermittent torque and delivers up to 46-55 HP output power. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Compatible transmissions include Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Volvo, among others. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the unit features a kit-style design that simplifies field service.
