Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489ZHITX-V5XK or 489ZHITXV5XK, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission face, eliminating the adapter plate and its associated leak path. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, with tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load-handling capability. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with keyway. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmissions include Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others with an 8-bolt PTO aperture. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
