Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZFITX-V5RB or 489ZFITXV5RB, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly built for manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capacity. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
