Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XXEVX-A5XD or 489XXEVXA5XD, mounts directly to manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO opening, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path and cutting installation time. The wire/cable mechanical shift drives a 1-1/4″ round output shaft. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, keeping service stock simple.
