Description

The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XWDUX-A3XD or 489XWDUXA3XD, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening with a one-piece cast iron housing that eliminates the adapter plate and reduces potential leak paths. Compatible transmissions include Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, Volvo, Tremec, and other manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO aperture. Shift actuation is wire/cable mechanical, with an electric-over-air shift option available in the 489 Series. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with intermittent torque capacity characteristic of the 489 Series at 250 lb-ft. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capability. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series. Call us to confirm proper fit for your specific transmission and application.
