Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUITX-A5XD or 489XUITXA5XD, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path that bolt-on adapter designs introduce. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment. Call us to confirm proper fit for your specific transmission and application.
