Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUDUX-W3XK or 489XUDUXW3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO built for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. Its one-piece cast iron housing mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening without an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. The wire/cable mechanical shift drives a 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) at up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft for the 489 Series. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design simplifies servicing.
