Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUDUX-A3XD or 489XUDUXA3XD, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built around an 8-bolt mounting configuration. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), matching the torque capacity of the 442 Series, and delivers up to 48 HP (36 kW) shaft power at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
