Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUAHX-W3XD or 489XUAHXW3XD, is an 8-bolt PTO built for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and features tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
