Description
The Chelsea 489XUAHX-A3GF or 489XUAHXA3GF is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and similar gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission aperture, eliminating the adapter plate used on earlier designs and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) intermittent torque, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft accommodates a keyed connection. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying parts sourcing.
