Description
The Chelsea 489XLAHX-A5XR or 489XLAHXA5XR is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, which eliminates a potential leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft accepts a key. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and delivers 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
