Description
The Chelsea 489XLAHX-A3XY or 489XLAHXA3XY is an 8-bolt, wire/cable mechanical shift power take-off from Chelsea’s 489 Series. Output shaft is 1-1/4″ round (with key option available), and intermittent torque is rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm). Shaft power output runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with a rated output of 46-55 HP. The unit is compatible with Eaton/Fuller and Volvo/Mack transmissions, among others. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, making cross-service straightforward for shops already stocking 442 components. An electric-over-air shift option is also available within this series.
