Description
The Chelsea 489XLAHX-A3XR or 489XLAHXA3XR is a 489 Series power take-off assembly built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible units. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) for the 489 Series, matching the torque capacity of the Chelsea 442 Series. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) is supported by tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
