Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLAHX-A3XQ or 489XLAHXA3XQ, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series falls in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this configuration. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, making parts sourcing straightforward.
