Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XHAHX-V5RB or 489XHAHXV5RB, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating that potential leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series – up to 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) – while strong tapered bearings provide greater load-bearing capability than needle bearing designs. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with keyway) handles shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible with Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and other manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO aperture. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
