Description
Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XHAHX-A5RA or 489XHAHXA5RA, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path while delivering the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output power runs 46-55 HP, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Compatible with applications including utility trucks, dump trucks, and vocational equipment.
