Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFITX-H5XK or 489XFITXH5XK, is an 8-bolt PTO built for most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit. The 489 Series is rated for 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) intermittent torque and delivers 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
