Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-V3XX or 489XFAHXV3XX, mounts directly to 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manual transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on many competing designs, removing a potential leak path and reducing installation time. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft accepts a key and supports greaseable output options to reduce spline fretting. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard; an electric-over-air shift option is also available in the 489 Series. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series.
