Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-A6XK or 489XFAHXA6XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on older installations, removing a potential leak path without sacrificing torque capacity. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with a nominal rating of 250 lb-ft matching the 442 Series, and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round configuration. Wire/cable mechanical shift. Tapered output bearings handle radial loads better than needle-bearing designs.
