Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-A5GK or 489XFAHXA5GK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on older designs, removing a common leak path. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); continuous-duty applications should de-rate 30% (check application pages for actual ratings). Shift is wire/cable mechanical, with an electric-over-air option available. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (keyed) accepts a wide range of output configurations, including Chelsea’s 360-degree rotatable flange.
