Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-A3GB or 489XFAHXA3GB, is an 8-bolt direct-mount PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers output shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft accepts a keyed connection. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design simplifies field service.
