Description
The Chelsea 489XCAHX-V5XD or 489XCAHXV5XD is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and Volvo applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate and its potential leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. The Chelsea 489 Series shares internal components with the proven 442 Series, giving this PTO the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity in a housing that mounts directly to the 8-bolt opening without an adapter plate.
