Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XCAHX-H3XD or 489XCAHXH3XD, mounts directly to manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO opening, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, and Mack applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on other designs, reducing potential leak paths and installation time. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); continuous ratings are de-rated per application. Shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style construction simplifies service work.
