Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XAITX-V3XD or 489XAITXV3XD, mounts directly to manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO opening, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and other compatible units. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the transmission face without an adapter plate, which removes one potential leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. For continuous-duty applications, Chelsea specifies a 30% torque de-rate. Internal components are common to the 442 Series, and the kit-style housing simplifies field service.
