Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GQITX-V5XK or 489GQITXV5XK, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path compared to traditional two-piece setups. Output is delivered through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key, rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm). Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying parts sourcing and service.
