Description
The Chelsea 282 Series PTO Assembly, part number 282XSAJX-13RK or 282XSAJX13RK, is a medium-duty hot-shift power take-off built for continuous-duty operation. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. Shift actuation is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve included. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with a 5/16″ key. Intermittent torque capacity runs 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm); continuous torque is rated at 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), though actual ratings vary by application. The Chelsea 282 Series combines the legacy 238 Series design with upgraded internals capable of handling up to 300 lb-ft intermittent and continuous. The series offers nine speed ratios and 18 shift options. Direct-mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft life. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes.
