Description
The Chelsea 282 Series PTO Assembly, part number 282XPAJX-15RF or 282XPAJX15RF, is a medium-duty hot-shift power take-off built for demanding continuous-duty cycles. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement, making it compatible with transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft uses a 5/16″ key drive. Intermittent torque capacity runs 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm), and the series is rated for continuous duty at up to 300 lb-ft, verify actual ratings on the Chelsea application pages for your specific transmission. The 282 Series is suited for aerial, construction equipment, water trucks, towing and recovery, and home fuel oil delivery applications. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation orientation. The driveshaft output design includes a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. Direct-mount configurations support the optional Wet-Spline lubrication for longer service life on the PTO and pump shaft.
