Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJP-D3XV or 281GTFJPD3XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series evolved directly from the proven 280 Series platform with targeted structural upgrades: a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and clutch pack steel discs increased 80% in thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios spanning low and high speeds, rotatable cast-iron flanges to reduce interference fitment issues, and an optional wet spline lubrication path that delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life round out the design. SmartStart technology reduces shock load at engagement, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) guards downstream driven equipment. The series carries a 390 lb-ft continuous torque rating. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline configurations. A hose is included with the assembly.
