Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-G3RK or 281GMFJPG3RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It delivers a single, continuous-duty torque rating and offers nine speed ratios covering both low and high speeds. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc design to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues with pump mounting. A wet spline lubrication option can extend shaft life 7 to 10 times over a standard configuration.
