Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GDFJP-K3XD or 281GDFJPK3XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly matched to Allison transmissions. It is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, carrying a single continuous-duty torque rating and nine available speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap it replaces, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces the vibrational stress associated with modern engine designs. The clutch pack features steel discs that are 80% thicker than the predecessor design, resisting premature tooth wear. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and the SmartStart option are available to protect driven equipment and reduce shock loads at start-up.
