Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-B3XD or 281GCFJPB3XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt automatic transmissions, including Allison applications. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 adds a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap it replaced, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at pump connections, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times compared to standard lubrication.
