Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJR-B3XD or 281GBFJRB3XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, most commonly Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series evolves directly from the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational effects, and an enhanced clutch pack featuring 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high operating ranges. A Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft service life by seven to ten times compared to standard configurations.
