Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GRAHX-P3XD or 489GRAHXP3XD, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on many competing designs, removing a common leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft with key accommodates a wide variety of driven equipment. The 489 Series uses pressure lubrication (P designation) and carries the tapered bearings and kit-style construction shared with the 442 Series.
