Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XHAHX-S3XK or 489XHAHXS3XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on compatible manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on some installations, reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) is driven by tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for increased load-bearing capacity. The 489 Series shares internal parts with Chelsea’s 442 Series and delivers an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); shaft power reaches 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM.
