Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XCAHX-A3AF or 489XCAHXA3AF, is an 8-bolt PTO designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission’s 8-bolt opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (with key) delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with series intermittent torque ratings in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, making sourcing service components straightforward.
