Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLAHX-S5XK or 489XLAHXS5XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) for the series, matching the capacity of Chelsea’s 442 Series. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation, with an electric-over-air option available. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible with manual transmissions from Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers with an 8-bolt PTO aperture.
