Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFITX-A3AF or 489XFITXA3AF, mounts directly to 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and the extra leak path that comes with one. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same intermittent torque rating as the 442 Series. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key, and the wire/cable mechanical shift is standard, with an electric-over-air option available. The 489 Series carries tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load capacity. Kit-style construction makes field service straightforward, and internal parts are common with the 442 Series, keeping your spare parts inventory lean.
