Description
The Chelsea 489 Series PTO Assembly, part number 489GRITX-W3GF or 489GRITXW3GF, is a wire/cable mechanical shift power take-off built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft (with key option), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft for the 489 Series. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, making service straightforward. This unit uses no-pressure lubrication (X designation) and features greaseable output options.
