Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUDUX-A3XK or 489XUDUXA3XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, and Mack units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path at the mounting interface. This assembly uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft accepts a key. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design simplifies service.
