Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-P3RE or 489XFAHXP3RE, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, and Mack applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, which removes a potential leak path and reduces installation time. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and features a 1-1/4″ round output shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
