Description
The Chelsea 489XCAHX-M3AF or 489XCAHXM3AF is an 8-bolt power take-off from the 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path common to earlier designs. This unit delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, matching the 442 Series capacity, and shifts via wire/cable mechanical actuation. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key, rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered output bearings replace needle bearings for improved radial load capacity.
