Description
The Chelsea 489GSAHX-A3XD or 489GSAHXA3XD is an 8-bolt PTO assembly from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths at installation. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft with key delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM and carries an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft for the series. Tapered bearings handle radial loads more capably than needle-bearing designs. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series. Cross-references include BHS-10760 and S-10760.
