Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XFEVX-A4XK or 489XFEVXA4XK, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec, without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing gives this PTO the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series while reducing leak paths and mounting time. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft (with key), and shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. Shaft power delivery is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying parts sourcing and service.
