Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XHAHX-A3XY or 489XHAHXA3XY, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on compatible manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, removing a common leak path and reducing installation time. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft (with key), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft, with actual continuous ratings requiring a 30% de-rate. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
