Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZLDAX-S5RB or 489ZLDAXS5RB, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series reaches 250 lb-ft (check application pages for your specific rating). Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
