Description
The Chelsea 281GMFJW-G8RK or 281GMFJWG8RK is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted hot-shift power take-off built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. As an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series introduces a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and clutch pack steel discs increased 80% in thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues, and the wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and the SmartStart feature are included for added drivetrain protection. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
