The Chelsea 281GGFJP-E5RK or 281GGFJPE5RK is a 281 Series PowerShift (hydraulic) hot-shift power take-off engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and offers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. Key construction upgrades over its predecessor include a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc to resist premature tooth wear. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces the vibrational effects of modern engine designs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times.
